Imagine – an exhibition of illustrations and whimsical paintings

An exhibition by Annie White, Jodie Pratt and Tracie Grimwood running from Wednesday 5 September to Saturday 27 October.

Jody Pratt

Jody is a Melbourne based artist following her passion for all things nature, in particular animals and trees, to create mixed media paintings and illustrations.

She exhibits her work regularly and enjoys working on new illustration commissions.

'Nothing is better than getting in your own zone to produce something which you completely give yourself over to, creating an image which you feel totally a part of'.

Tracie Grimwood

Tracie is a highly successful Maroondah based illustrator and artist. She has produced illustrations for national and international clients and has designed and illustrated dozens of books and book covers for a variety of publishers.

Tracie is known for her emotive and whimsical work which is both delicate and displays a rich sense of colour and texture. She has developed her personal art practice to further explore her connection with the natural world and her interest in anthropology and history, drawing on themes from myths and folk tales.

Annie White

Annie has illustrated for children for many years and has had over 70 books published. Two of her picture books, Mbobo Tree (Glenda Millard) and My Dad Is A Bear (Nicola Connelly) were Children’s Book Council of Australia Notable Books. My Dad Is A Bear was also shortlisted in the 2015 Prime Minister’s Book Awards.

‘My paintings are highly illustrative and I like them to tell a story. I often paint images of other worlds or maybe a slant on this world.”

Recently, Annie has also begun to write. Her books Clementine’s Walk and Clementine’s Bath were shortlisted in the 2014 and 2016 Speech Pathology Book Awards.
