Arts from the village: seasons in our environment

Hugh BerryOfficial opening 5.30pm to 7pm on Thursday 24 May

The exhibition will be officially opened by Mayor Cr Nora Lamont and guest speaker Jerry Ham, Executive Officer at Uniting Harrison.

About the exhibition

The exhibition features a showcase of new works made by the members of The Gifford Arts Program. The highly successful and well-established program has been running for over 12 years in Croydon North and is open to everybody, regardless of skill and ability and specialises in the visual arts of drawing, sketching and painting.

The Gifford Arts Program has a very unique formula for an art group where artists from the disability sector, non-disability, male, female and all ages work together. This mixture helps to break social barriers as well as bringing a very special atmosphere of cooperation. Many of the artists featured in this exhibition have exhibited in the annual State Trustees Art Exhibition in Victoria as well as being selected for exhibitions in London, Berlin and New York.
