Ruth is a significant local environmental activist and has used her skill as a botanical illustrator to help people become interested in local native plant life.

This special exhibition of native varieties of orchids, lilies, wildflowers and fungi, offers viewers an insight into the beauty of the natural world .

This exhibition is a combination of works from the Maroondah City Council Art Collection, existing works from the artist’s collection and works from private collections

Maroondah’s Bushland Treasures Day

Saturday 17 February, 10.30am to 3.30pm, Maroondah Access Gallery

Join us on this special day for a free series of public talks about Maroondah’s Bushland Treasures from local environmental scientist Dr Graeme Lorimer, Maroondah City Council Bushland Management Officer Derek Ashton, Peter Rogers from the Ringwood Field Naturalists and local environmental specialist Peter Goegan.

International Women’s Day Afternoon Tea

Join us for a special afternoon tea with the artist Ruth Jackson and guest speaker Liz Sanzaro, president of the Croydon Conservation Society. Celebrate international women’s day with scones and tea served at Maroondah Estate Café adjacent to Maroondah Access Gallery!
