Maroondah Council's Arts and Cultural Grants Scheme supports a diverse and culturally rich Maroondah through community driven projects, initiatives and events which increase arts profile and participation. These initiatives may focus on a wide variety of art forms. Listed below are some of our highlighted projects and events:

The Backyard Sessions

Presented by Urban Life

Jetty Road

Urban Life present The Backyard Sessions – a series of FREE music events for the community featuring local performers who range from international award-winning act Jetty Road, accomplished performer, singer and songwriter Lil’ Miss Jazz and vocal group Soul.

Taking place in the neoteric Backyard, just off Civic Place near Eastland in the Ringwood Arts Precinct, this series of chilled, semi-acoustic events highlights these talented performers. Food and drinks supplied by The Cellar Door Ringwood.

Gates open 5.30 pm, with the performaces to start at 6pm. Enter via Civic Place.

About Jetty Road

Jetty Road have played alongside country music stars such as Taylor Swift, Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Vince Gill, Gretchen Wilson, Dwight Yoakam and Glen Campbell.

The trio has a multitude of awards and accolades with two Golden Guitars (CMAA), an APRA Award nomination, five Southern Star Independent Artist of Australia Awards and 10 number one charting songs to their name.
